Can my granite look the same as the online sample?
Granite is a natural stone, and its color, tone, grain, pattern, and other characteristics vary from slab to slab, adding to its natural beauty. We use high-quality photography and editing techniques to present the closest match to the online images, but we recommend visiting our showroom to view actual samples. This will give you a clearer idea of what your countertops will look like.
Is it safe to cut food directly on a quartz countertop?
Quartz is a strong and durable material, resistant to cuts and scratches compared to natural stone. However, for the longevity of your countertop, we suggest using a cutting board, especially when handling raw meat. Quartz countertops are resistant to scratches and cuts, but this does not make them impervious to damage or invisible markings.
What distinguishes quartz countertops from granite?
Both materials have their advantages and disadvantages. It is important to consider the features of each before making a decision. Quartz countertops are strong, durable, flexible, and low-maintenance, with consistent color patterns among slabs. However, they are less resistant to heat and long-term exposure to sunlight. On the other hand, granite is a 100% natural stone, unique and beautiful, with high resistance to chemicals and heat. It is possible to place a hot pan on granite, but doing so repeatedly is not advised.
What are the benefits of quartz countertops?
Quartz is one of the most popular stone materials for kitchens in the US, along with granite. Its benefits include a stronger surface due to the 7% polymer resin, making it non-porous and almost completely bacteria-free. Quartz also offers customizable patterns, allowing you to emphasize or conceal certain parts of the stone. It is easy to maintain, requiring only basic cleaning, and has a non-porous surface that prevents bacteria from surviving.
